Vegan food in hospital

Vegan food in hospital… What do you think? 🤔⬇️

plate with two sections: on top boiled potatoes, boiled chicory. Bottom half balls in tomato sauce. next to plate a bowl of green soup and a green pear.

It’s so absurd and ironic that …

  • a) it was so much hassle to actually get anything vegan (several inquiries back and forth, dietician came to my room, …)
  • b) this isn’t the kind of food that will make people excited about vegan food, nor make them feel much better …

All in all, a decent effort, and at least it was vegan 🙏🏼🌿🌿 But it wasn’t ‘t going to win any culinairy prizes 😄. The pear was so hard and took several days to ripen to be able to eat it.

➡️ Note: this post focuses on plantbased /vegan food.
Veganism is more than just about food though.

Veganism is a philosophy with respect for animal rights and justice for all animals. In a vegan lifestyle, the use of animals and animal ‘products’ is avoided as much as possible and practicable.

PS: Luckily I’m back home now, enjoying more healthy and varied meals ☺️🌿
