Older and disabled people are used here as an excuse to justify recreational fishing. As if fishing is a requirement for a meaningful life. There are so many accessible outdoor recreational activities that don’t involve the abuse of other animals …

Disabled anglin in Europe is massive as it is one of the few accessible hobbies we can do. The rights and wrongs of fishing and the catch and release style we use is another issue. The fact that the disability community love to fish is a fact.
